Great Wall of China

Great Wall of China is a series of fortresses of stone and soil which is building the longest ever made ​​by men. The building is located in the country of China was originally built to protect the northern border of the Chinese Empire against intrusions by various nomadic groups.
Construction of the wall began in 221 BC and continued to grow until the 17th Century. The Wall stretches from Shanhaiguan in the east, to Lop Lake in the west, along an arc that roughly delineates the southern tip of Mongolia.


And according to research by experts, has concluded that all sizes of wall 8,851.8 km (5,500.3 miles), consisting of 6,259.6 km (3,889.5 miles) of the actual wall, 359.7 km (223.5 miles) of trenches and 2,232.5 km (1,387.2 miles ) of natural defensive barriers such as hills and rivers.
In 1987, this building was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site. And now this giant wall of one of the best and the historic buildings that once existed, and serve as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
