Taipei 101

Taipei 101 was formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a landmark skyscraper located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building is officially the second tallest skyscraper menjadai after Khalifa Burj Dubai.
In July 2011, the building was awarded LEED Platinum certification, the highest award in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental (LEED) rating system and LEED design into the world's tallest building. Taipei 101 was designed by CY Lee & partners and constructed primarily by the Joint Venture KTRT. This tower has served as an icon of modern Taiwan since the opening, and receive Emporis Skyscraper Award 2004. Fireworks launched from Taipei 101 stands out in the internationally broadcast New Year's Eve and structures often appear in the literature of travel and international media.


Taipei 101 consists of 101 floors above ground and five floors below ground. The building's architecture was created as a symbol of the evolution of technology and tradition of Asia (see Symbolism). A multi-level shopping mall adjoining the tower houses hundreds of fashionable shops, restaurants and clubs.
