Timbuktu - World Tourism will discuss about the Timbuktu. Timbuktu is a city in the West African nation of Mali situated 15 kilo meters north of the River Niger on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert. 

Timbuktu is the capital of the Timbuktu Region, one of the eight administrative regions of Mali. In the past, the area flooded by the river was more extensive and in years with high rainfall, flooding would reach the western outskirts of Timbuktu itself.

Most tourists visit Timbuktu between November and February, when temperatures are lower. In the 1980s, a small amount of accommodation for travelers provided by two small hotels:. Bouctou Hotel and Hotel Azalai Over the next decade the number of tourists increased so that by 2006 there were seven small hotels and guest houses. 

City benefited from the tourist tax revenue from CFA 5000, with sales of crafts and the manpower to guide.

Timbuktu is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert 15 km north of the main channel of the River Niger. The town is surrounded by sand dunes and the streets are covered with sand. Port of Kabara is 8 km to the south of the city and is connected to the arm of the river channel 3 km. 

Channel has become silted but in 2007 it was dredged as part of Libyan financed project. Kabara can only function as a port in December to January when the river was in full flood. When the water level is low, the ship docked in Korioumé related to Timbuktu by 18 km of paved road.

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe - World Tourism will discuss about the Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is the largest freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada in the United States. In addition, Lake Tahoe is listed as 26th largest lake by volume in the world at 122,160,280 acre · ft (150.68249 km 3). On the surface elevation of 6225 ft (1897 m), located along the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson City. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America. Its depth is 1645 ft (501 m), making the United States the second-deepest.

Some winter sports are at Lake Tahoe:
During ski season, thousands of people from all over Nevada and California, including Reno, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Sacramento, flock to the slopes for downhill skiing. Lake Tahoe, in addition to the beauty of the panorama, the famous blizzard.

Some of the major ski areas in Tahoe include:

Heavenly Mountain Resort: the largest ski area in California and Nevada, located near Stateline

Squaw Valley: the second largest ski area, known for its hosting of the 1960 Winter Olympics, located near Tahoe City

Alpine Meadows: intermediate ski area on the north coast just a few miles from Squaw Valley

Diamond Peak: a small ski area located in Incline Village, Nevada

Northstar at Tahoe: a popular north shore ski area

Kirkwood Mountain Resort: a ski area gets more snow than other ski areas in the Tahoe

Sierra-at-Tahoe: a medium south shore ski area

Boreal Mountain Resort: a small ski area on Donner Pass

Sugar Bowl Ski Resort: intermediate ski area in Donner Pass

Donner Ski Ranch: a very small ski area on Donner Pass

Homewood Mountain Resort: intermediate ski area on the west coast

Mount Rose Ski Resort: intermediate ski area north-east of the lake, in Mount Slide

Most of the ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area in the north end of the lake, near Truckee, California and Reno, Nevada. Kirkwood, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Heavenly are located on the south side of the lake, about 80 miles (129 km) from Reno. Scattered throughout Tahoe are public and private sled parks. Some, such as Granlibakken are equipped with rope tows to help sledders get up the hill.

Many ski areas around Tahoe also have snow tubing, such as Squaw Valley. Throughout Tahoe, cross country skiing, snowmobile riding and snowshoeing are also popular.

Lake Tahoe has a main tourist attraction in both Nevada and California. Which is home to several ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a vital part of the region's economy and reputation. The mountain and lake scenery are attractions throughout the year. Nevada side also includes large casinos. Highways provide year-round access from Reno, Carson City and Sacramento.

Lake Tahoe was formed about 2 million years ago and is part of the Lake Tahoe Basin with the modern lake formed during the ice age. It is known for the clarity of the water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides. The area around the lake is also referred to as Lake Tahoe, or simply Tahoe.

Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon - World Tourism will discuss about the Antelope Canyon. Antelope Canyon was first opened in 1997, and the Navajo tribe for a Navajo Tribal Park. Which is one source of tourism business for the Navajo Nation. Probably for fans of photography you are obliged to visit this place. It has superb views to your photo collection. Some people call Antelope Canyon as bighánílíní Tse, which is where the water flows through the rock.

Antelope Canyon most frequently visited by tourists the world, because it has two keistemewaan. First, its entrance and entire length are at ground level, and does not require a climb to get to. Second, beam or shaft of direct sunlight radiating down from openings in the top of the canyon so much more common in Upper than in Lower. On the beam is most common in summer months, because it requires the sun to be high in the sky. Winter colors are a bit more muted like the photo shown here. Summer months provide two types of lighting. Beams of light began to peer into the canyon March 15 and disappear October 7 each year.

Some people call Hazdistazí which is lower Antelope Canyon, or a spiral rock arches. Prior to installation of metal stairs, visiting the canyon required climbing stairs along the pre-installed in certain areas. Despite these limitations, Lower Antelope Canyon a lot of interesting a large number of photographers, though casual travelers are far less common there than at the top. Antelope Canyon visited exclusively through the tour, partly because of rain during the rainy season can quickly overwhelm the canyon.
