Esplanade - Theatres

Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay is a building situated on the banks of the river six acres of land on the waterfront along Marina Bay near the mouth of the Singapore River. This place was built premises for the purpose of a performing arts center for the state of Singapore.


Esplanade contains world-class performing space, plus a variety of professional support services and facilities. In addition to doing the place, the Esplanade also contains a meeting place, as well as lifestyle and arts related services. The main highlights of the Esplanade - Concert Hall and Theatre, is connected to the main Concourse through the foyer, while the Esplanade Mall is accessed via the entry point located between the two spaces. And there is also a Concert Hall esplanade that about 1,600 seats and Theatre with a capacity of about 2,000 for the performing arts. The library is located on the third floor of the building. There are centers doing outdoor, and retail space and food at the Esplanade Mall. There is an open space outside the room on the fourth floor of the building, which is the highest point.

The place was officially opened on October 12, 2002, with a cost of about EUR 600 million. And on July 5, 2005, the opening ceremony of the 117th IOC Session staged at the Esplanade, featuring 30-minute long performance that aims to show multi-cultural heritage of Singapore for its international audience.

Statue of Liberty

Statue of Liberty is a gigantic statue which is located on Liberty Island, at the mouth of the Hudson River in New York Harbor, the United States. The name of this statue is actually "Liberty Enlightening the World" or the Liberty which illuminates the world. The statue was awarded France to the United States in the late 19 th century and is a symbol of welcome to visitors, immigrants and returning Americans.

The statue was given on October 28, 1886 This is a gift one hundred years of independence the United States and is an expression of friendship between the two countries. Sculptor was Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and Gustave Eiffel (designer of the Eiffel Tower) devised a support structure therein. Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous symbol of the U.S. throughout the world, and symbolizes independence and freedom from oppression.

 The statue was depicted as a woman who was freed from the shackles of tyranny with the right hand holding a torch with a flame that burns, it symbolizes freedom. While his left hand holding a book with the inscription "July 4, 1776" (in Roman numerals), the American independence day. She wore a flowing robe. As well as having seven shadow of big spikes on her crown symbolize the seven oceans and continents Statue of Liberty has a height of less leih 46 m (151 ft). Merlion Statue

Merlion statue is one of Singapore's main tourist attractions are visited by many local and foreign tourists. Merlion statue itself is a symbol of Singapore.

There are five official Merlion approved by the Singapore Tourism Board, two at the Merlion Park (the work of sculptor Lim Nang Seng, finished 1972), a smaller Merlion and the other is the main Merlion.
