Shanghai is the largest city in the People's Republic of China, located in the Yangtze River Delta in eastern China, Shanghai sits at the mouth of the Yangtze River in the central part of the coast of China. Because of its rapid development over the past two decades has made it a center of economic, trade, financial and most important communication in China, as well as being a leading global city.
